Waiting Room

Our first evening of Bible study went great. If you or anyone you know is still interested in attending our group, please know that you are welcome anytime! It doesn't matter if the semester is almost over - our door is always open for more.

There is a great song called Waiting Room by Jonny Diaz that really speaks to those of us who are in a season of waiting and a season of asking hard questions to God. You can listen to this song here. I hope you find great encouragement as you wait on the Lord.

We are looking forward to another great time of connecting and discussing on Sunday!

Sunday!

We enjoyed a great Night of Hope last Thursday evening! If you were unable to make it, you can still be a part of the Shiloh group. Our first Bible study of the semester begins SUNDAY!!! We will meet at Auburn United Methodist Church* from 4:00-5:30pm. It is never too late to join. Please feel free to drop by anytime. If you have any questions, you can send an email to: shilohaumc@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to seeing some new faces and joining together in support as we study God's word in light of our circumstances. Come and find hope!

*We are meeting in the Hamill Court building of AUMC. This is right next to the Wesley Foundation building. You will need to turn off of Gay Street right by Burger King/Tiger Rags into a parking lot. The Hamill Court building entrance is going to be the third building you see from the parking lot at the top of a slight hill. Once you are inside the building, take a left and our room is the last room on the right.

Sink or Walk on Water

This fall in our weekly Bible study and prayer group, we will be going through the book, Sink or Walk on Water: Understanding and Coping with Life's Storms by Michelle Nichol.

Below is a description of the book taken from Amazon's website:

Have you ever asked "Why would God let that happen?" Well, if you haven't asked it yet, someday you will. Our "someday" came when a doctor's diagnosis rocked our world. When our son turned eight months old, we were told he had cerebral palsy. At that moment, we embarked on a journey of what, at the outset, seemed like an endless voyage through stormy seas. Through the many tears and prayers, we've learned to trust that God will bring us through stormy waters to ones quiet and tranquil - reaching out to guide us all the way. Sink or Walk on Water is a chronicle of our journey so far. This Bible study will take you on a journey through uncharted waters, stormy seas, and sometimes smooth sailing. On this journey, we will learn why there are storms in our lives and how to navigate them. This study will strengthen your relationship with God and provide invaluable tools to use while traversing your own storms of life.

We are looking forward to working through this book and feel it will really speak to the struggles we face as we wrestle through the many issues surrounding infertility, miscarriage, child loss, and adoption. We would love for you to join us each Sunday afternoon (beginning October 3rd) as we study this book!
